Tracked distortion
Temper
Distortion whose drive and tone filters follow the note, so every note distorts the same.

The problem
A 2 kHz lowpass after a distortion lets 45 harmonics of F1 through but only 22 of F2, and a quieter patch is driven less. Some notes fizz, others go dull.
What Temper does
- Evens out each note’s level before the shaper, so drive means the same on every patch.
- Tone filters set in multiples of the note: Floor, Push and Bright follow the pitch.
- Soft, Hard, Fold and Tube curves with bias for even harmonics.
- 4× oversampled, with auto gain for level-matched comparison.
