The problem
Every switch-up patch brings its own sub: a different level, a different phase. The weight of the drop jumps from note to note.
What Anvil does
- Replaces the band below Split with a clean mono sine that follows the bass pitch.
- The same peak level and the same start phase on every note, so the kick lands the same.
- Pitch from detection with 80 ms lookahead, or from MIDI.
- Linkwitz–Riley crossover; the stereo above the split is kept.
